Spray Tan Prep Tips
So, you're ready to get your glow on. Now if you really want to get the most out of your tan, here are a few things you should do 12 to 24 hours before you come in for your spray tan appointment.
Do NOT shave or wax the day of your appointment.
To ensure you’re not left with dark spots in your pores, try to shave or wax at least 24-48 hours before your session to allow the skin to calm so you can obtain a flawless and comfortable tan.
Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate.
Use a dry brush to remove any dead skin cells before you shower, then use a body
scrub or loofah in the shower.
Avoid using lotions and oils.
While it’s important to keep your skin hydrated, don’t use oils or lotion on the day of your appointment.
Remove it all.
Your skin should be free from any products that could interfere with the spray tan, which
means you should avoid wearing makeup, deodorant, and perfume on the day of your
appointment. It’s best to take a quick rinse in the shower before getting sprayed.
Wear dark and loose clothing.
Wear dark, loose, flowy clothes. And if you feel like it, skip the bra and go commando! some color may rub off on your clothes, and dark, loose-fitting will ensure you don’t have streaks or stains.
